What is prophetic prayer?  God loves us and desires to speak to us. John 10:3-4 tells us that Jesus calls us by name and we listen to His voice and know His voice. Prophetic prayer helps us tune our ears to hear what God is saying about someone.  

1 Corinthians 14:3 gives us the guidelines when praying prophetically for someone, "But he who prophesies speaks edification (building up), exhortation (drawing us near to Jesus) and comfort (peace) to men." 

Prophetic prayer is to draw people into a deeper relationship with Jesus and bring encouragement to their heart. ​
