Eat the Scroll **We are off for the summer! Check back for Fall start-up dates & times.**
Twice in Scripture the words "Eat the Scroll" are used. Both Ezekiel and John (in Revelation) are told to eat the scroll.
Ezekiel 3:1-3 says, "...'Son of man, eat whatever you find here. Eat this scroll, and go speak to the house of Israel.' So I opened my mouth, and he gave me this scroll to eat. And he said to me, 'Son of man, feed your belly with this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it.' Then I ate it, and it was in my mouth as sweet as honey." In the New Testament, when Jesus is tempted in the desert He tells satan, "Man shall not live on bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." During this time with the children we are teaching them how to take the written word of God and know how to meditate on it, pray it and sing it. We want the next generation to know the Word of God and use it on a daily basis to commune with God in prayer and in song. We pray they would "taste and see that the Lord is good!"
During this 1 hour time, children will discover the majesty and mystery of the Word through prayer and worship~ meditating on the Word, praying it and singing it.
